frei0r-plugins software package provides minimalistic plugin API for video effects, plugins collection, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install frei0r-plugins
frei0r-plugins is installed in your system.
Make ensure the frei0r-plugins package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep frei0r-plugins *
You will get with frei0r-plugins package name, version, architecture and description in a table
